In light of recent events I am placing myself back on Prefect duty. Ravenclaws, I hope we will be an example to the rest of the school of how to behave during troubled times. I, myself, have been know to let certain rules fall by the wayside. Since part of being a Prefect is leading by example I am going to make sure our house is given a high standard to meet.

The Professors and Staff only want us to be safe. I think we can all agree that complaining about the new situation we find ourselves in will only raise tensions in the tower.

Whoever is on duty tonight, please be aware that several alumni have gotten the urge to enjoy a small gathering in an empty classroom on the fourth floor. I've placed several charms to ensure their noise doesn't disrupt the rest of the school, but they are quite vocal about being locked up in the castle and are not reacting well to students telling them what to do trying to keep the peace.

My parents have sent a letter to Parvati and I. I find it interesting that despite the medical crisis my mother is still reminding us to be proper young ladies. As though we could ever forget the lessons she insisted upon us for years.

I hope my fellow students are not ignoring their studies simply because of our new situation. If anything, no is the time we need to be more focused.

The same goes for breaking rules. I have caught several students out past curfew in the last few weeks. I will not hesitate to report you all to your Head of House should I catch you out.

Why is Professor Weasley ignoring the importance of essays? With students losing their ability to perform magic it seems completely illogical to remove the focus on the study of magic. What, exactly, does she plan to do once no one in her class can perform a simple spell and they've grown accustomed to not writing any essays?

You've shared a room with Michael since school started. The odds of you not coming in contact with the virus are very slim. Logically speaking we should try to avoid spending time with each other.

That being said, I'm moving into your room. I couldn't imagine spending the nights without you. We're going to be in classes together and I doubt there is any real way to avoid exposure given we're locked in the castle together.

Dear Mother,

I received your Howler and I do not appreciate being screamed at spoken to in such a way. While I understand your need to treat me like a child desire to do what is best for me, but I feel as thought I should remind you that I am of age and therefore able to date spend time with whomever I so choose. Stephen is perfect a good young man and you should be happy that someone like him actually loves me wanted to spend time with me.

If I was Parvati you wouldn't be so upset I feel as though I should remind you that I have done my best to make you happy live up to your expectations. I have never embarrassed you or acted in any fashion not fitting my place and to send me such a demand was completely unfair excessive.

I love care for Stephen very much and I will continue to see him with or without your permission. Or I would if he wanted anything to do with me after your Howler. Beyond that, I am capable of making my own decisions regarding my life and from this point on I will be doing just that.
